Crane Explosion
Dear Friends, found the cranes on a cornfield and abruptly at 4pm, they all left in a huge explosion of wings and calling. The air was full (for a moment), then I was left all alone on the roadside. A Sunset Cruise
Dear Friends, these sandhill cranes are cruising into their evening roost site on Phantom Lake in Crex Meadows. The sunset was glorious on Tuesday evening and I stopped for awhile to enjoy the view, til Tomorrow MJ

My Supermoon shot

Black and White Cranes
Dear Friends, these sandhill cranes were only ten feet from our vehicle and were busy rooting in the mud for seafood to eat. The mud is still clinging to their bills, now you see why they have long stout bills that don’t break when they hit a rock. Do you like black and white treatment? tilTomorrow MJ

The Chateau
