Luna the Wolf
Friends, this is Luna, the black wolf from wolf center in Ely. I took lots of images of her, but not sure why my camera was so attracted to her. Is it because she is female, because she is black, because she was most active chasing the ravens, or is it the faraway look in her eyes. She is young (10 months) and still ambitious, I am old and not so ambitious anymore. I envy her energy chasing illusions of wildness, even tho they fly when she approaches. Not unlike the humans watching her. til Tomorrow MJ

she looks so powerful!
powerful and beautiful at the same time, thanks christine, MJ
The eyes seem to be looking at a far horizon. It would be a compelling sight. We have two posters by Brandenberg in our house. One of the wolf peeking out from a tree and one of two wolves looking forward. I so hope to see a wolf somewhere close to my place south of Fish Lake. I understand people are hearing them in that area.
we are also fans of JBrandenburg, he has lived among the animals of the northwoods and beyond, thanks for the comment, MJ
Here in Lafayette we have a black wolf named Dharma. My camera is similarly attracted to her. Love the picture.
are you near the wolf center down there? would love to see it someday, thanks for the comment, MJ
I actually live in West Lafayette and Wolf Park is in Battleground which is very close. It is closed for the winter, but when it opens I have a season pass. There is no better place to go and relax I think.
She is a beauty.
