Friends, you may ask yourself while traveling thru Theodore Roosevelt National Park in the North Dakota Badlands, why are all these prairie dog towns here? Well to feed the badgers and coyotes. This little badger was digging furiously into a prairie dog hole, but the dogs were running out the back door as he was digging into the front door. The joke is on him, see the dirt on his nose, til Tomorrow MJ

I’m glad to know that there are still p.dogs aplenty out there in the Dakotas. I feared they were getting displaced by man and his progress. There is one such “town”in Montbello, CO that I would visit last fall but they(p.dogs) aren’t up for handouts much. Still, they exhibit that cute behavior like barking and raising their paws high.
LOL, I love the prairie dogs but you’re right, they are a good meal, too 🙂 Good shot!
