Me- wild life photographer

Marge April2,2015I am a retired research technologist who is enjoying a second vocation in life.  Nature photography has always been a passion and now I am able to pursue wildlife full-time.  We moved from the Twin Cities (Minnesota) to the Wisconsin northwoods after retiring from our real jobs, to be in close proximity to Crex Meadows.  Crex is a wilderness with black bears, timber wolves and whitetail deer, as well as  Greater Sandhill Cranes and Trumpeter Swans who gather in the marshes before the big trek south.  Many smaller wild birds and mammals are also present in the refuge.  So the only thing of merit about myself is that I treasure the wild life and trying to photograph the wild life makes my clock tic.

I also am in love with Lake Superior and the Tall Ships that visit Duluth in the summer.  You can find more of these photos at MJSpringett.com.  Of course some of these images are available for sale, just contact me at mjspringett@yahoo.com.  Thanks for your attention and interest, til Tomorrow MJ

  1. Hi, I just discovered your site today. Your pictures are amazing. I enjoyed all the time I spent here and will certainly visit again. Also, I would appreciate knowing how you get your photos to show up so large in this theme. Do you use the “Featured Photo” setting or something else? I tried the “Featured Photo” setting on two of my themes, but that always put the photo above the title of the post. If you don’t mind letting me in on your secret, I might experiment a little more.

Keep up the terrific work. You’re great.

  2. Thanks for the recent follow of my blog. It had the happy consequence of leading me here so I could admire your imagery, which I’ve very much enjoyed doing.

One of these days, I’m going to make my way up to your neck of the woods. I’ve shot extensively in the U.P. of Michigan in the fall, but northern Wisconsin and the Arrowhead region of Minnesota have been on my “to do” list for a long time.

  3. thank you very much for visiting my blog and for the follow.. I like your blog very much, and look forward to your new posts.
