Scoria point is in the badlands of Theodore Roosevelt National Park and the expanded reds are a result of using high dynamic range in photo capture and in photoshop.  This print must be seen to be appreciated, the brilliant gradient of reds that are present in this image.  In the past images that I took of this landmark were always lacking something, but recently using bracketing and framing techniques, I was able to produce this image of one of my favorite places in Theodore Roosevelt National Park.  If you check out my storefront, all images are on sale!!! so if you are interested,please check marge.shutterbugstorefront.com.
