Cruising the roadside ditches for bears, wolves or even a fox, I only find wildflowers. So here is an image of a columbine that was lit nicely. The spring flowers have been very abundant this spring due to the daily showers. It is a nice change from the drought we had going last summer. Have to go to work now, have a nice day, MJ

Black bear in Crex Meadow in NW Wisconsin
We went to Crex Meadows today to walk the dog and get some new images, as we passed a small bog I saw a huge black head swimming in the water. I hollered to the driver (husband, Jim) to stop and back up. By the time we got in place, the big black bear had climbed out of the water and was sitting on the far bank, looking back at us. The deer flies are bad and biting, maybe he was trying to wash them off. What a thrill, i will try to post a picture here for anyone who wishes to see him, not a great shot but at least we are seeing some bears this year. bye for now,, MJ

Today is a new day and a new website, I am excited about the new opportunities to sell my work. We live in paradise for a nature photographer and I hope my work will teach and inspire others to experience photography as an artform. But if photography in the wild is not possible for you then maybe my daily image on this site might lift your spirits and brighten your day, so onward and upward, MJ
