TALL SHIPS/ LAKE SUPERIOR

From flying cranes to flying ships, I have ventured outside my comfort zone and chased images of the Tall Ships in Duluth this summer.  My father was a sailor and I think somewhere in my childhood I must have contracted the sailing bug.  I could be perfectly happy in a lawnchair, with Lake Superior waves lapping over my bare feet, watching the ships enter the harbor with the wind in my hair. The beauty of billowing sails and fresh breezes ignites my soul and sends me dreaming into another world. We were very fortunate to be able to take a daysail on The Pride of Baltimore after the Tall Ship Festival was over.  This image was taken on the morning of the Parade of Sails during the Festival, see my shutterbug website for other images of these beautiful ships or just tune in and i will enter them on this website as well. Bye for now, Marge

Love your photographs, my wife (Gracia) just joined FASO and is in the process of adding her art work, paintings watercolors etc, and we are thinking about the many photo prints we have also. We have a lot of photo's of the ships that visited our area in N. California that were in the Movie "Pirates Of The Carabbean". I love the ocean and the ships as well and we are about 2 miles from the extensive, open beaches we have here. We're just in California about 20 miles from Oregon so we enjoy the Coastal scenes daily! Keep up the good work and drop a line if you can. Regards, "fellow tall ship fan!" J Molloy!
